BOOTHS THEME & SCHEME TV

Booths Supermarkets, the Waitrose of the North (though that’s doing them a disservice as the quality and difference is higher) ran theme and scheme ads to promote both the Booths ethos and specific offer items. The commercials were shot on location in Cumbria and at SLV Studios in London ( http://www.slvision.co.uk ) and directed by Crispin Wood ( http://www.crispinwood.co.uk/ ). The voiceover is famous ‘Poet of the North’ and musician Ian McMillan who wrote it as an original Northern poem to highlight Booths difference, rather than a standard sales style voiceover. The theme commercial is 40 seconds and a combination of original and film library footage.

The following 10 second commercials each promoted specific offer lines. There were six – here are three of them.
